I had the privilege of working on the cover design for "Talking Turkeys" by Benjamin Zephaniah for Penguin Books. While the final artwork wasn't selected, the experience was truly enriching. One line from the text, "every turkey has a mum!", deeply resonated with me. In my illustration, I aimed to infuse human emotion by portraying a stereotypical mother figure as a turkey, capturing the essence of that poignant line from the book. The process was a remarkable exercise in bringing words to life through visual storytelling.
